About Me

Welcome to my blog, Cheers Y'all!

I am a born and raised Richmond girl (the greatest place on Earth), now living in a tiny little town outside of Charlottesville called Dyke (the most...interesting place on Earth).  I grew up learning how to use and be proud of our family's Southern roots and am passionate about sharing that and one day raising my children with the same beliefs.

My other passion is teaching.  Growing up I knew I would be a teacher; there was never another option that I truly considered for a career.  I graduated from James Madison University in 2007 then from the University of Virginia with a Master's in Teaching in 2009.  I feel very fortunate to have gotten a teaching job at a wonderful school.  I am currently teaching 3rd grade and hope to remain in this position until I retire (at about 87 years old...).

I do not necessarily have a creative mind, but I enjoy sharing where I look for inspiration and how I make it my own.  I look for classic, timeless Southern style and incorporate it into my clothes, home, and meals.

Enjoy my blog and thanks for reading!
